About Trans-Europ: Trans-Europ is a family-owned transportation company in Sint-Truiden, specializing in cooled, ambient, and heated transportation services. Additionally, we offer storage and transshipment services to our clients. To strengthen our team in the warehouse, we are looking for a motivated reach truck driver to join us on a long-term basis.
Job Description:
As a reach truck driver at Trans-Europ, you will play a crucial role in our daily operational success. Your responsibilities include:
- Picking pallets from the racks in the freezer area using a reach truck.
- Working in a chilled environment, mainly in the fridge (+2°C), but sometimes (20% to 30% of your time) briefly in the freezer (-20°C).
- Loading and unloading pallets with an electric pallet truck into trucks. This can be for external parties or our own drivers.
- Order processing, loading, and unloading of goods according to loading lists.Ensuring quality assurance and safety.
- Reporting deviations in goods (such as unusual temperatures, damaged packaging, and/or damaged pallets) to the responsible individuals and planning.
- Working in day shift (09:00 to 17:00) or afternoon shift (12:00 to 19/20:00) and Saturday mornings (06:00 to 12:00), with a weekday off.
Requirements
- Ability to safely drive a pallet truck and a reach truck.
- Possession of a reach truck certificate.
- Willingness to work in various temperatures and physically capable of performing this work on a daily basis.
- Communicative skills to collaborate effectively within our team.
- Fluent proficiency in Dutch, French, or English (at least B2 level required). Knowledge of a second language is certainly an advantage but not mandatory.
- Reliability, punctuality, and careful work ethic.
- Taking responsibility along with the team leader to ensure smooth operation of activities.
